Creator Business Basics is a free newsletter and library of plain-English lessons for creators, published by Trisha and Bob. This page explains what we collect when you subscribe or read the site, who handles it, and how to ask us to remove it.
When you subscribe, we collect your email address. Our email platform, beehiiv, also records when and where you signed up, which emails you open, and which links you click. If you sign in to read a lesson or download a guide, you log in with your email address and a one-time code. We do not ask for your payment details, because nothing here is for sale yet.
This site and our emails run on beehiiv, which stores your subscriber information and sends our emails for us. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with advertisers. If we ever add another service that handles subscriber information, we will update this page.
We use it to send you the lessons and guides you signed up for, to let you into the subscriber parts of the site, and to see which lessons are useful so we can write better ones. We may email you about Creator Business System, the app these lessons are written for. You can unsubscribe from any email with the link at the bottom of it.
The site uses cookies that keep you signed in and let beehiiv count visits. We do not use advertising or tracking pixels. If that changes, we will say so here first.
We keep your subscriber information for as long as you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe you stop receiving email, and beehiiv may keep a record that you unsubscribed so we do not email you again. To have your information deleted, write to us at the address below.
You can unsubscribe at any time, ask to see what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, or a US state with its own privacy law, you may have additional rights, and we will do our best to honor them. Write to us and we will reply.
This site is written for working adults and is not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has subscribed, tell us and we will remove the address.
This policy covers the newsletter and this website only. The app has its own privacy statement, which will be published before the app is offered for sale.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Questions, deletion requests and anything else about your information: [email protected].
